How Stronghold Works
Following treatment of Stronghold, eggs and larvae are killed, stopping flea production and breaking the lifecycle of the flea.
Through its ovicidal and larvicidal action, Stronghold for dogs controls and treats adult intestinal roundworms (Toxocara canis) in dogs, sarcoptic mange and other biting lice infestations.
Directions of Use for Stronghold Treatment
Stronghold for dogs should be given in monthly intervals through the flea and tick season, beginning one month before fleas become active. To treat heartworm, Stronghold may be given to dogs at any time of the year within one month of the animal's first exposure to mosquitoes, and monthly thereafter.
To administer the correct dose of Stronghold, remove the tube from its protective packaging, and holding the tube upright, puncture the applicator seal and remove the cap.
Part your dog's hair at the base of the dog's neck in front of the shouler blades (where it cannot lick), and expose an area of skin.
Apply the Stronghold directly to your dog's skin, squeezing the contents of the tube to one spot. Do not massage the medication into your dog's skin.
